Privacy Policy
Story Studio (story-studio.click) is operated by [ชื่อผู้ให้บริการ / Operator name], the data controller under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). Contact: [อีเมลติดต่อ / contact email]
1. What we collect
- Account: email, display name, password (hash only), language, 18+ confirmation, terms acceptance.
- Your content: ideas, scripts, characters, voice settings, pronunciation entries and generated audio.
- Usage and billing: credit history, purchases, lines and audio length generated. Card / PromptPay details stay with the payment provider (Stripe); we never see card numbers.
- Technical: IP address, browser type and access times, for security and abuse prevention.
- Usage statistics to improve the site: pseudonymous and you can switch it off — see section 11.
2. Why we use it
- To provide the script and voice generation you request (contract).
- Credits, receipts and bookkeeping (legal obligation).
- Security, fraud and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
- Marketing email only if you opt in; you can withdraw anytime (consent).
- Improving the shared pronunciation dictionary from user suggestions, after admin approval.
- Improving service quality from pseudonymous usage statistics (legitimate interest — you can object with the opt-out switch, see 11).
3. Processors and international transfer
To provide the service, some data is sent to the following processors, which may be located in the United States or other countries and have their own data-protection terms:
- Google (Gemini / Google AI Studio) — the lines you voice, your ideas and scripts, for voice generation (TTS) and script drafting/checking.
- OpenRouter — ideas, scripts and line text, for script drafting, sound-design analysis and as a fallback voice provider.
- Eden AI — ideas, scripts and line text, when used as a fallback provider for script drafting or voice generation.
- fal.ai — the prompts you type, for sound effects, background music and cover images, and line text when used as a fallback voice provider.
- Stripe — payment details (card / PromptPay), email and order amounts. We never see or store card numbers.
- Hostinger — web hosting, database and audio file storage.
[Check each provider's data-use terms before claiming “not used for AI training”.]
4. Retention
- Audio files not opened or used for 90 days may be deleted automatically (scripts stay; audio can be regenerated).
- Account data until you delete your account.
- Financial records as required by tax/accounting law (typically 5 years).
- Security logs (e.g. logins) up to 90 days.
- Usage statistics for improving the site: events 90 days · ratings/comments 180 days · error logs 30 days (see 11).
5. Your rights
You may request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability by contacting [อีเมลติดต่อ / contact email]. We reply within 30 days. You may also complain to Thailand's PDPC.
6. Cookies
One strictly necessary HttpOnly login cookie, plus your language choice stored in the browser. No advertising or third-party trackers.
7. Security
Hashed passwords, HTTPS, owner-only access to audio files (except works you choose to publish, see 10), and no system keys are ever sent to the browser.
8. Children
The service is for people aged 18 and over only.
9. Changes
Material changes will be announced by email or on the site at least 30 days in advance.
10. Public publishing (opt-in only)
- Every episode is private by default. It becomes public only when you press “Publish” for that episode.
- When published, anyone (including non-members, search engines and social link previews) can see on the public gallery and share link: the title, description, cover image, the MP3 you uploaded, duration, series/episode name, your display name, publish date and play count. Your email is never shown.
- Play counts use a hash of the IP address (the IP itself is not stored) to avoid double counting, deleted within 2 days.
- You can unpublish or delete a work at any time; the link stops working immediately, but copies others downloaded or social-media caches may persist for a while, outside our control.
- You must have the rights to what you publish. Admins may hide works that break the Terms.
11. Usage statistics that help the site improve itself (opt-out)
The site learns from members' combined usage in order to propose improvements for the owner to review — for example a pronunciation many people fix the same way, or a voice provider that fails often. Every change needs the owner's approval; the system never edits code or changes the site on its own.
- What we collect (minimum): event types and counts (e.g. “line re-voiced — reason: mispronounced”, “script edited — kind: ending particle”), 👍/👎 ratings and tags after export, short comments you type yourself (emails, phone numbers and links are removed before storing), the voice provider used and error codes, and your vote when you suggest a word for the shared pronunciation dictionary.
- What we don't collect: script text, ideas, character names, email or IP address in the statistics tables. Each member is represented by a keyed hash that cannot be linked back to the account without the system's secret key.
- What the owner sees: aggregate numbers only; any group with fewer than 5 members is hidden (k-anonymity). No names or emails are shown.
- Error logs: server and voice-provider errors are logged for everyone without any account link (needed to run the service), with emails, keys and long numbers removed. Errors from your browser are sent only if you have not opted out.
- A/B tests: the owner may try a new AI prompt version on some members. Members who opted out are never included.
- Retention: events 90 days · ratings/comments 180 days · error logs 30 days, then deleted automatically. Daily aggregate totals (no per-person data) may be kept longer.
- How to opt out: go to My account → Usage statistics and switch it off. Opting out immediately deletes all events, ratings, comments and pronunciation votes stored under your account and stops further collection. Everything on the site keeps working, and you can switch it back on anytime.
- Outside assistant: the owner may issue a read-only token so an assistant can read the weekly summary. It contains aggregates only — no emails, IPs or typed comments — and every read is logged.
